For a Christmas/college graduation present my parents got me a benelli sbe 2, 25th anniversary addition, to say I was thrilled would be an understatment. I shot it today with 3.5 inch federal heavyweight 7s at 20 and 43 yards with a lazer rangefinder. I wanted to shoot forty yards but the stump I sat against was at that distance so I shot 43.The Barrel is 28 inches long and I have the trulock choke for federal 7s with an exit diameter of 650. I was really happy with how well the gun shot point of impact/point of aim. At 20 yards aiming at the middle of the turkeys neck on the turkey target, the shot filled the 8.5 by 11 inch piece of paper evenly with only 25 pellets landing outside the sheet of paper. That was with a clean barrel, i didn't clean it when I shot 43 yards and got a nice even centered pattern with 35 hits in the head and neck of the target and 120 in a ten inch circle.
Here is a picture of the gun
Congrats on the fine shotgun! That pattern will kill all day.
Good luck!
Nice. Was that with the factory sights or aftermarket rifle sights?
Thanks, that is with the factory front site, it has a large fiber obtic front site and a small middle bead halfway down the rib. The site is larger than the normal sbe 2 site.
Looks good!
Nice gun. Looks like you're ready to go!
Looks like a winner to me!
