After some hard hunts for four days the good Lord blessed me this morning with this bird. He gobbled one time on the limb and that was it. Hunted rest of day trying to fill my buddies tag and birds just were not gobbling.
9-1/2" beard 1-1/2" spurs 21.35lbs

Congrats on a nice bird. They've been tough here, still henned up bad all over the state from what I can tell.
Thanks guys, yea he was with three hens and was following them. Fortunately I called the hens my direction and when he saw my avian x breeding hen and Jake decoy setup he wasn't having it.
good job on a good bird
Very nice Tom,congrats!! :happy0064: :happy0064: :happy0064:
congrats on a good one
Nice bird. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm in south-eastern WV. I got rained and or snowed on on the first few days. Finally killed one Monday, but never did hear a bird gobble. The one I killed just came into my call, but never muttered a sound.
I'm in southern WV myself and have only been able to hunt one morning. Lot's of wind, rain, snow and cold temperatures so far but it looks as if that's gonna start to change about this coming Thursday. Looking forward to hunting the last two weeks.
