Finally a Turkey in the bag. Setup in an open field, about 90 yards away from the wooded lot. Couple calls later and a gobble. The tom came running up to the Decoys, but as it got closer, it knew something was up. The turkey continued to pace back and forth, not sure whether to get closer or not.
The bird would not pass the 45 yard mark, and I knew it was a longer shot. A good spread on paper gave me the confidence to pull this shot off. Touched the trigger off, thought I just injured it at first, as I finally approached the turkey, it was already finished. weighed in at 23.5 pounds, 5.5 inch beard, 1.25 inch spurs.
Good job!! I'm using the long beard #5 too. The only thing I have worried about is missing. My #40 yard pattern is to tight for bead shooting.
Yep those #5's are the real deal.....
Congrats!! Nice video.

Your decoys are moving too much.
Congrats :turkey2:
:you_rock: The long beards are deadly.
