Title: Full choke
Post by: oldcountry on April 10, 2018, 07:16:38 AM
Does anyone hunt with just a full choke and not a turkey choke? What do you limit your shots to? It seems the new trend is to shoot them at further ranges. I don't like a really tight pattern at 15 or 20 yards as I hunt thick Creek bottoms.

There's a thread just below this one with this same question.  Check it out.

Just leaving the improved cylinder choke in my sons 20 gauge with #10 TSS. Its a very forgiving pattern close that will still have plenty of pattern out to 35 yards. Have not shot it at 40. With the quality of today's shells choke tubes are losing importance.
