Title: Optic question...870 Express Shurshot
Post by: klevar1 on February 26, 2012, 07:12:04 PM
Pulled the trigger on a 870 today and need a little advice on a good optic.  This is my first season and I'm really overwhelmed as to the choices out there.  I'd like a good quality, entry level sight.  Not sure weather to go reflex or red dot.  Need something that can get wet (on occasion) and last a few years.BTW, plan on shootin 3 1/2" shell.

Don't wanna go cheap...something mid-grade.  Appreciate the advice.

Sure did...

I'm reading the post regarding the Burris FFIII. That must be a serious reflex sight...looks like its stirring up a lot of interest. Not sure if I'm quite ready for that one yet!

Check out the mueller quick shot. It's only 100 bucks and seems to hold up well to the recoil of the 3 1/2 inch shells and it's waterproof.
