Title: Burris FF III versus Vortex Strikefire II
Post by: GunRunner on February 23, 2018, 07:06:57 PM
I have had a Bushnell Trophy red dot scope on my old turkey pump shotgun and liked it much better than open sites. Now I have purchased a semi automatic and would like to upgrade the optics.

I was originally looking at the Vortex Strikefire II tube type red dot which is similar to the Bushnell Trophy.  However, I have been reading a lot of good reviews on the Burris FF III and want to evaluate the pros & cons with this popular reflex type red dot.

I would like to hear from some of you who have used both styles of red dot.  Would would you advise?

Thanks

I had the trs-25. I put the ff3 on my new gun and like it better. The FF3 feels more open and natural when shooting than the trs-25 did. Less "scope like". I've not shot the vortex.

I have 4 Fast Fire III's and love them, the Vortex Venom is made like the FF III but has 10 brightness settings and gets really good reviews also, personally I don't see the need for the 10 settings but some people like that option.
