So I wanted to see if I could make a larger size scratcher that could almost achieve the sounds of a box call hybrid. It actually worked and turned out pretty nice. I have to make a new soundfile because my cat was meowing through every attempt. I went outside and the neighbors rooster kept going off when I played it. So I gave up for now out of mere frustration. This one is birch with Linden soundboards and its a two-sider with two different hens.

I'm a big fan of the double siders.
Here is a small sample of each side. A pause in the middle is when it switches. The two sides sound alike in the recording but not at all in real life. It's just an experiment so far. I was trying to "throat" the bowels of the call to achieve the tone of a short box. Thanks for looking and please be safe on the roads.
