OK, I'm still in search of my 20 auto. I wanted some feed back on the SX3 vs M2. I know there are some other great 20's out there of various brands but I'm looking at these 2. I have several others at the moment.
This will be used for a timber hole duck gun and of course I will hit the pattern board with it and take it to the Turkey woods (currently have dedicated 20 ga turkey rig). I'm itching to buy a gun and it will be one of these 2. Thanks for the input.
M2 HAS MY VOTE :icon_thumright:
I love my M2 as a all around gun but the crio barrel is not the greatest when it comes to patterning for turkey......if you are gonna shoot TSS it won't matter..
I have owned both. They are both great 20's. For turkey only I would go with M2, it is a little bit lighter and patterns great with TSS. If it was going to be an all around gun, I would go with SX3. It shoots a little softer and for me it functioned better with a wider range of loads. You can get both to pattern anything with a little effort. SX3 also has speed load, which I absolutely would not be without shooting ducks, crows, doves, etc.
Can not go wrong here, so congrats with whichever one you get.
I like my SX3 20 gauge a lot. The trigger is not real light but after some gun scrubber and a good cleaning it's much better.
It shoulders well and shoots real soft. It is 10 ounces heavier than the M2.
It carries lighter than it is, don't know how to explain that but it doesn't seem heavy.
I got the Universal Hunter model which has 26" barrel and is drilled and tapped. It's a few ounces lighter than the cantilever model.
The advantage of the SX3 is that those two models will accommodate a red dot or scope. Whether the M2 can be drilled and tapped seems to be open to interpretation.
I do know the SX3 is as simple to disassemble and clean as any gun I own.
I have both and agree with above

M2 but don't rule out a Retay
If you are walking a lot to hunt turkeys, get the M2. The weight difference is quite a bit. I handled an SX4 compact and that joker was a boat anchor. If weight doesn't matter to you and you are a blind or feeder hunter, get the Winchester or Retay.
I love my M2 but I agree with 7shooter, I would look at the Retay.
Both are good guns. I would go with the one that fit you the best.
