.003 I have been between .170 and .200, 2-3 reed calls in multiple cuts

As I increase the "thickness" of the latex, I would assume that the side tension would also increase...

Truth or fiction, again using the Feather Ridge Hand Jig.

Most of my calls are .004 top reed. I like .210,.215.225 and a couple at .250. Just experiment and see what you like!
