My 2020 Indiana bearded hen. 9" beard. Used a Fowler striker and ceramic houndstooth (both recently purchased from some great members here).
She came sneaking in behind me, yelped a little looking for me. Two steps forward and I would have saved a shell and just grabbed her. Didnt realize she had the beard until she had looped around the side and out front. Expect full mount pictures in the future. (Not near, I was told.)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200506/3865766ab56d629799aa3bf68ca50247.jpg)

Thats insane! I saw my first bearded hen last week. She had a little 2 or 3" stubby. 9"s of beard is more than some of the gobblers I've shot! A trophy for sure. Thanks for sharing that.
Nice beard ..
You should have gone and found the clutch of eggs for breakfast as well.
Pluffmud and Mr. Massy thank you for the kind words.
Mike,
If you makes you feel any better I havent shot a doe in 15 years or so. Bearded hens are not very common where I hunt so I am very happy with the bird I used my tag on. If I've misinterpreted your meaning I apologize in advance. If not, shoot me a p.m. so I can let you know where to send next years license and lease fees to and I will try my best to find a more suitable turkey for you.
