I am not serious about videoing but would like to have a nice compact video cam I can fit in my vest and video a hunt when I'm huntin with buddies. Anyone have any recommendations on a relatively inexpensive camera? Thanks

$300-500. Looking for a camera that is simple, good zoom, and picks up sound clearly. Thanks

I have an older camera.  It takes decent video. It is a digital Panasonic.  I would love to get a higher end camera but they dont give them jokers away.

Check out the Samsung Mini Camcorders in HD.  I've had the Samsung HMX-H200BN/XAA HD Digital Video Camera for about a year and a half.  Here is some video I shot with it opening day last year:

The microphone picked up not only the hen but the gobbler that was coming in from a couple hundred yards behind us...

Great vid!

This video was shot with a Canon HF S-20 last season.

One of many great turkey hunts we were lucky enough to capture on tape.

I have used the Sony DCR-SR series camcorders several times in the past before the newer HD stuff hit the market and although I am looking again now to upgrade here are some turkey hunts I have self filmed in the past.  They are relatively inexpensive and take good footage for the money.

I bought a Kodak ZX-3 right before bowseason. It was relatively inexpensive( a little over $100), shoots vids in HD, takes still pics, and you can film underwater if you have to. It's small, light, good battery life, mounts easily to my Switchback, and has decent zoom capability. Highly recommend! :icon_thumright:
