Title: Best shell for a SBE II and a Kicks .665 choke
Post by: Rzrbac on January 20, 2017, 04:56:06 AM
Been reading some posts about different shells. I have been shooting 3.5 inch #6s in Federal Premiums for years.  They have always been my favorite shell and I stocked up on them years ago. Only shooting a couple of shells per year, I haven't kept up with what's out there.  What's the best shell going now?

For production ammo its gonna be winchester long beards, heavy shot and federal heavy weights.  If you reload then its tss.  Take your pick!

I'm like you when I find a shell I like I stock up on them and I have a bunch of federal six's. So now I have a bunch of long beard six's! lol I shoot the same set up you do except my choke is a Rob Roberts. In my opinion for the money and all practical turkey hunting purposes you won't find a better shell to date.
