WV fall turkey season opened this past Sat. (10-22) but I had to work. Made it out this morning just before daylight and headed for a woodlot with a lot of Scarlet Oaks where the birds like to roost. I had no idea I would find birds so quick, but shortly after first light, I heard the flock start to wake up. After a quick conversation with the brood hen and some pleading kee kee's she fell victim to a 1 5/8 oz load of #4 Remington Hevi-Shot and my fall turkey season was over in a matter of about 35 minutes. I only wish it were that easy in Spring. I enjoy Fall hunting just as much as the Spring, and Id just about rather kill a hen than a deer. Here's a few pictures.

Nice bird !! congrats :icon_thumright:
Congrats on a nice bird! I'm getting the same way about hunting in the fall. I get more excited hunting fall turkeys now than bow hunting for deer. :icon_thumright:
