I got some 52100 steel plate in and made this one. 8-1/2" OAL with 4" blade edge. Heat treated to 1575 degrees Fahrenheit....then tempered it twice @300 degrees it has a flat ground blade with some convexing 3/16" up from the edge....Walnut & Samabr Deer Antler with Damascus pommel I did some carving on the handle. Can be used left or right handed, with some stippling for a good grip. It is sharp and will hold an edge for a while.
I love seeing your work Pappy! You are a true craftsman!!
Beautiful work and a great sized blade with a nice point. It should be a good skinner and work for boning .If you could stand to get it dirty
That is a beautiful knife
