Title: A couple box calls that sound really really good
Post by: Iowa on March 09, 2017, 11:14:38 PM
Thought I would post 1st time pics of some handcrafted box calls from last fall. I've focused primarily on sound quality the last three years and will begin to pay more attention to appearance. Feedback of any kind welcomed.

Looks good,  do they sound as good as they look?  What kind of wood did you settle on for best sound?

They sound better with each call made. I have taken advice from folks on ths site by using wood that is user friendly, i.e., butternut, cherry, Alaskan yellow cedar and walnut. Only recently, I began using some exotic wood. I tried to attach a sound file but was unsuccessful. I will try again. Thanks for your kind words.
