My season starts on March 26, then I'm leaving for FL on March 30th... Hopefully we'll be on the board before April 1!!
Hookedspur and i will start on April 2 in Tennessee.
Turns out I will be headed to Mississippi for their opener on March 15th. My first time there and I hear it is a tough place to kill a gobbler. Hope to get lucky.
Think ours opens April 12th but don't quote me on that. Unfortunately, Maryland opens the same day so no dice on that one.
Then back to Ohio on 16 & 17 for Youth then Monday 18th for regular season
I was wrong. Buddy told me today that the opener was April 18th. My bad.
Me and Quinn open up MS on March 15... however, I won't hunt until that weekend. I predict Quinn will be on the board around 738 AM on 3/15/16

It isn't looking good! It's day 2 and I haven't heard a bird yet!!!
It might be time to make a trip to the turkey farm.

Patience grasshopper You will succeed!
If it makes u feel better I scouted today and only heard 1! High pressure and simply a nice morning! But I did see 3 strutting!
I've not seen a single strutter yet. In fact, I'm not seeing birds in the fields like I normally do. Not sure what's up but it feels a bit strange. I'm hoping things turn around soon.
I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow morning. Have done zero scouting but maybe 1 will gobble.
Well, I won't be hunting yet but I plan to scout some the week after Easter. Hoping to hear some gobbles since season will only be a few weeks away at that point.

Well, I didn't get one. Ended up have 2 longbeards and a jake come in to roost on Friday evening. I had them at 10 steps but they were just scratching and feeding around in front of me. I didn't get excited so I didn't shoot. Maybe I'm getting old, but if I'm not shaking and breathing heavy, I just won't pull the trigger any more. I figured I'd be in the chips the next morning but they pitched down with a dozen hens away from me. No gobbling and high winds. It's still a little early. I will hunt La this weekend, but I have to work so it will be late morning and afternoon hunts for me. Good luck to everyone.
My season starts tomor...... Hopefully I'll have some pics to post.
Good luck Roost ,kill a big one and be safe

Congrats fellas. Glad to see some are having some luck. We've still got a couple weeks before we can get going but I'm anxious as all get out.
I am in the woods scouting as I type this. The season here in TX opens Saturday. I thought we had a jake problem last year and have never seen anything like it. There are pre-teens running through the woods goblin at any and everything that moves. This will make things a little more challenging for sure.
