Title: Red dot sight in
Post by: fadetoblack188 on April 29, 2019, 01:25:16 PM
Can I use a 7.5 shot sleet load to get my red dot on paper?  At like 12 yards before I switch to the actual turkey loads?

I heard to use dove loads but can't fund them local

You can get a cheap laser bore sighter that will get you on the paper. Usually only takes me two shots to get sighted in.
Bore sight it. One shot on BIG paper then use a tape measure to see how you have to move the sight and a second shot to make sure your center.

Yes, Cheap dove or skeet loads (7.5, 8's or 9's) 2 3/4".  Normally $5 to $6 a box.

Any cheap shell will work. I sight my red dot in at 15 yards then shoot out to 40. If you are going to miss it will be close.
