Title: North Carolina 2017
Post by: BottomLand54 on March 24, 2017, 08:37:15 AM
Birds have started gobbling in northwestern North Carolina. Started yesterday morning and really fired up Friday 03/24/2017 started at 06:45 on roost and flew down at 07:07.

On 03/23/2017 birds were still on ground at 19:46 and was almost dark.

Kinda strange but they are gobbling.

Birds acted really weird yesterday on youth hunt. Called in 2 hens in the am. Couple birds gobbled but not much. Called in a big bird in the pm but the young boy couldn't get a clear shot. Seen 6 Jake's together this morning in field before church no gobbling.

Since we had that big rain this past week birds really scattered.
