Title: HW 7s, .575 Carlson's non ported, 870 20 gauge at 40 yards
Post by: mightyjoeyoung on April 05, 2012, 10:13:48 PM
I'm thinking the new "Little Monster" likes the new Carlson's .575 unported choke I just got in the mail today.  Shot 3 each of the 3" hevi 6s, Fed. pb 6 trip+ wad loads, and Fed. heavyweight 7s.  Got 130s avg with the hevis, a best of 115 with the pb 6s, and a beautiful 3 shot avg of 154 with the HW 7s.  Here's the best shot with the HW 7s which happened to be the last shot of the day through a dirty bore.

One of the best 20ga. HW 7 patterns I've seen.  Nice.

I am really thinking about this 20 gauge option for hill hunting, especially after seeing results like that.

Great lookin pattern. I have a buddy that shoots the same choke in a Benelli Nova with very similar results. :z-winnersmiley:
