Title: Combination Question??
Post by: SteelerFan on January 21, 2021, 04:52:16 PM
Has anyone tried a Rob Roberts .570 choke in a Remington 870 compact / 21" barrel & TSS #9's?

I have the Sumtoy 562.5 in one set up, and a Carlson's.555 in another. Not happy with the .555, so looking for different possibilities.

The Rem SF572 is hard to beat. The Carlson.575 and Primos TW .570 are also very good.

Ronny knows his stuff when it comes to creating loads and patterns. The 575 carlsons is not shabby either. I've learned with tss there's no need for the high dollar chokes unless your just trying to impress on paper.

So...not exactly the correct response.
But I have the same gun and I landed on a pure gold ported .570 and get 150hits in 10" at 40yds and a very nice full coverage pattern in 20" at 40yds. I forget the count. 3" #9 Federal TSS load. Great hunting pattern IMO.
