Soundfile added down the page. This began as a prototype but I will probably never make another one in this design. I call her the orphan because she will probably never have a home. It is "bi polar", two sided and was a collosal pain to make and tune for some reason. :z-dizzy:. It is figured walnut and mineral poplar with a 100 year old cherry striker. I will add a soundfile when the finish completely sets. She's a looker and a raspy gal. Thanks for looking.

Looks good man. Might try another one to be sure though. I'm not a call maker but I hear walnut is a pain to tune. Maybe try another wood and see if it works out any easier.

Thanks Kris and you are right a walnut box with walnut lid is difficult to pull off however in this case I think the figuring makes the wood a little more dense and harder to soften the tone. The design was for ergonomics and I am happier with some of my other ones. Who knows for now but I'm glad it's done. Maybe I'll record it today.
