Thought I would show you what I got yesterday if I may. I bought it used at what I call a steal of a price. It is a corner curio made in 1996. And it's solid oak.

LOL. Epic flashlight collection though. Just curious How many are there?
That is something you don't see everyday. Kinda cool though. What ever you do don't turn them all on at once or you will knock the moon on its arse.
Nice collection, Brad!

Dude...You need to talk to somebody.. ;)
Thanks men.
Some of my lights that I have bought weren't in that curio. I bought my son some and I have given some away. I have about 34 or so lights. I probably have bought over 40. And I'm still buying them.
nice curio. nice collection . can i sell u some batteries?
Let me hazard a guess here are you a member of the candlepower forums? I hear that they all have the addiction over there.
At first I thought you were displaying your collection of bongs... err... I mean acrylic tobacco pipes.
Then I thought it was a collection of game calls. It wasn't until the close up that I realized you have a collection of flashlights.
Seriously though, that looks like a nice selection of lights... I thought I had it bad, but you clearly have me beaten.
I am thinking about modifying one into a bow cabinet.
Are you afraid of the dark?? Nice curio!
cool

Actually I'm just the opposite. The more expensive ones are throwers and can throw a beam over 400yds. I have one coming that will throw a beam supposedly 600 meters.
I had the Dereelight DBS V3 XR-E R2 EZ900 aspherical already and it is so dang bright it isn't funny. Nothing I have will out throw it. I sent it back for nicks for an exchange. But to show you how bright it it my Crelant 7G5 is one of my best XM-L throwers. Here is the Dereelight DBS V3 XR-E R2 EZ900 aspherical beam on top of the Crelant 7G5 beam. You can't even see the 7G5 beam due the Dereelight being so bright.

PaTurkHntr, The Dereelight throws sort of like a laser it's so tight of beam.
Here's a picture I took at 80yds on my neighbors shed. Now there is some blue in the beam, but this is about what I see with my eyes.

DAGGUM!
Shannon,
Not so sure about the tube diameter being exactly 1" or not, but I would say a lot of my 18650 battery flashlights are about that. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather stick with a light that ran off of AA's or would you rather go with one that ran off of lithium ion. Most of my flashlights run off of 18650 lithium ion batteries. I typically use protected cells. 18650's from what I have heard are the same batteries that are inside the laptop battery packs. Now as you know lithium ion is the technology that the cordless drills are now using because of their ability to hold a charge longer and can be charged over and over again and last a very long time. But one should have a good multimeter and check the voltage after charging the 18650 batteries to make sure they are around 4.10 to 4.20 volts and that will depend on your charger. And if you want to go the AA route, you can always use NIMH rechargeables like Duracell, Energizer or Eneloops. I can't tell you how much longer runtimes I get with the Duracell NIMH 2450mah batteries in my digital camera vs using Duracell alkalines. The performance is just a lot better from what I have seen vs alkalines.
25.4mm = 1"
So Shannon I will throw some ideas your way.
Fenix makes a very good flashlight.

This one will be quite a bit brighter and run off either 2 CR123A bartteries or 1 18650. It's rated at 315 lumens.
