I just received my Hoot N Stick from Hooks calls. I am VERY happy! It sounds awesome! For anyone on the fence, don't wait. They are worth it.

Glad you like it :thanks:
I got one a couple of weeks ago too. It sounds better than any I have tried to use before.
Members here recommended it to me and they don't usually steer you wrong. Plus I got it in just a few days! ;D

I have a guy at work going to Nashville tomorrow for the turkey expo and he is going to pick me up a Hoot N Stick. :z-guntootsmiley: :z-guntootsmiley: :goofball:
I just ordered the hootin stick along with a diaphram call and a hat! can't wait until it all arrives! :z-guntootsmiley:
I just got one in myself. I bought the signed Bocote call. I figured if I didn't like it at least it would be collectible and I could probably resell it. Well I'm not going to have to worry about that. It's the best sounding, easiest to blow owl hooter I've ever seen. Within 10 minutes I was able to make every sound I've ever heard a Barred Owl make. Great growls laughts and chuckles. It even hoots like an owl. :) Money well spent and I enjoyed talking to Scott when I called to order it. He's a nice guy.
I just received my Hook's Hootin Stick and I am very pleased. I have used a Palmer's Hoot Tube for several years with good success. The Hootin Stick is a very good call but so is the Palmer's. I think the Palmer's may be just a little louder than the Hootin Stick. The Hootin Stick sounds a little more realistic, especially when doing a laugh sequence. I wouldn't be afraid to use either call.

I've decided to buy one of these Hoot'n Stick calls. At the moment, I have a K&H owl locator, and I just dont care for it. Im really new to turkey hunting so it could just be me, but either way Ive decided to go a new route. I say all that to ask this: Is there a site sponsor or something I could buy this from? If not Ive found them online for 25 bucks, but if I can help support this site or someone who contributes to this site Id rather do that. Thanks guys
Btw.. I am also fairly new to the site, so if there is some obvious place where I could have found this info I apologize.

The differences in all 3 of the hooters are very subtle. All three are very good hooters. If James Harrison is blowing them there is no difference in the sound with any of them.
Feel free to call our office. I am here every day and I will blow all three for you.
I hunt with the synthetic one myself.
thanks headcrusher.
i'll be giveing you a call real soon
:thanks:
I just gatta say that I was playing with my wooden barrel today and it sounds better than any hooter I have ever heard.
Hoot N Stick is the best owl call I've used by far and I have 4 others that don't compare to it. The search is over look no further. Hoot N Stick is the last owl call you will have to purchase.
I use the bocote one on stage. It's amazing how good of a call it is!

I got one. I love mine. I am going to order a wood one soon. James Harrison played his at the convention for me. He is really great to hear. Plus watching him helped me hoot better.
