did not hear a thing. Went  on  Sunday,  it was pretty windy. Didnt even see much of any sign in my spots. Pretty disappointing. I will probably head south for opening weekend.

Gregg I hunt in the North Ga Mountains too.  I haven't heard a gobble yet but i haven't been put much either.
Ive hunted the same areas for enough years to know they should be ready opening day. If the weather holds. Not looking to good

I was out this morning, it was dang cold and pretty still, they did not gobble until the crows started going crazy close by.....I heard what sounded like 3 birds, to my ears 1 jake and two mature birds, they gobbled 30-40 times in the trees. I was close enough to hear them pitch out and stayed around for another 30 minutes but did not hear any gobbles on the ground. I did hear a hen yelping very softly and close, so I snuck out. Yeah, tomorrow is not looking great, fine with me, keeps the people away.

It's probably still too early for you guys.  I'll be in the CNF soon but the action is still in south GA right now.  They are hot!  Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey Allen.....I am going in the morning, looks like it will be a bit windy, but maybe I will get lucky and find a talkative bird.

Silence again, never gone 4 days without hearing one.

Wait for it Greg.  Nature does it's thing.  And the weather has been funny like always in GA.  There's a gobbler out there but he could also go mute.  Them mountain birds can be rough on a man's spirit. The reward is worth the work. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey there men, I just seen this post. I'm from GA but livin in TN now cause of work. I've lucked up and got to take a month off from work so It couldn't have worked out no better with it bein turkey season. I've hunted every day so far since GA's season started and just wanted to put my 2 cents in from what I've seen so far. I hunt the Chattahoochee National Forest around the Summerville, Subligna/Gore areas and they have been gobblin good in the mornings but have gone silent around 8:15-8:30.
