Heard that non ported chokes have more consistent cores as far as POA and POI? Do not know this to be true but I have heard that the core is not as true/consistent to POA as non ported, that it kinda floats around? I do not know if this is true or not but would really like some opinions/facts.

I'm no expert but have patterned a few.  I'd say choke constriction is more important that being ported or not.
