Well fellas it looks like we all survived to see another season. I'm thankful everyone from last year chose to participate again this year and wish you all the best of luck and health this spring. I'll be doing most of my hunting in my home state of Mississippi again this year and hope to be able to make my yearly trip to Missouri. Had a great trip up there last year and got to meet and hunt with a fellow team member, Hooked on Hooks.
Here's our 2019 lineup. Ya'll get those tape measures, scales, and calculators ready. :anim_25:

Thanks, glad to be here. I will try and do better this year.
Happy to be back. Hunting in Mississippi only. Hope we all are safe and enjoy ourselves.
Glad we are all back together! I'll be hunting Tennessee only, probably. Might squeeze a few hunts in Alabama in.

Was driving through an area that is near one of the public spots that I hunt recently and saw 4 mature strutters with a few jakes and hens. Still bunched up, but they were strutting like they were ready to be shot! Can't wait!
I haven't been to either lease to listen yet but hope to in the morning or Saturday morning. The gobblers are there, I've got several pictures of them and heard one of them let 3 gobbles slip out about a month ago while deer hunting. Our youth season opens next Friday and I've got one chomping at the bit to get in the woods.
Well I was bass fishing yesterday afternoon here in Mississippi and catching bass and hen fired off with a string of yelps and I start thinking wow here I am in a bass boat drinking a cold miller lite beer, catching bass and hearing a turkey, man is God good to me and IMO life doesn't get any better than that !!

Greetings, my season opens up April 15th here in WV. I'll have to get out a scout but hopefully the turkey will be in the same roosting area I found last year. I'm getting pumped and can't wait.

Going out to do a little scouting this afternoon on one of the WMAs that I hunt. Hoping to get a spot dialed in for youth weekend...it will be my daughter's first year!
Been watching mine from back porch hoping for a good season

Good luck to you and your daughter Big Jeremy! My youth backed out due to a football camp but I've got another one on standby for Saturday morning. Hopefully, the rain will hold off and we can get on one.
Been out scouting a couple of times now. I've found a whole lot of strange looking tracks with long middle toes...I made sure to step on them since I wasn't real sure about them...ha! Watched a couple of long beards for about 45 minutes until I had an opportunity to slip out. I can't wait!
Lots of Mississippi boys on our team...best of luck! Can't wait to see some pics, hear some tales (no matter how tall), and share the season with you guys!

Congrats on the gobbler Oscar! Hopefully I'll find one willing to play the game this weekend.
Well, as you may have noticed form the general forum, I am going on a last minute hunt to Florida. We will be in Panama City anyway, so I am gonna chase some easterns. Hopefully since it isn't the coveted other species that FL holds, there won't be nearly as much pressure.
I've never hunted outside of Tennessee or North Alabama, so I am excited to adventure onto some other territory, and it's going to be quite different than the pretty steep hills and hollers that I am used to. Ought to be a good learning experience, at least!
I came close in Florida last Friday. Long story short, I had to get really aggressive as the hunting ends at 1:00 p.m., and I spooked them. The bird had stayed in the same area for about an hour and a half, and I had been able to belly crawl to about 35 yards from him, but it was so thick between me and him that I was going to have to try to stand up to shoot him. When I started repositioning myself to get ready to stand and shoot, he busted me. Oh well...it sure was fun!
At least you got to go see some new territory and got to get after one. Good luck to you on the home turf!
My Tennessee season got off to a slow start yesterday. I put quite a few miles in, could have killed one of about half a dozen jakes on a couple of different occasions (I'm not above killing a Jake...I love the meat), and enjoyed the woods for about 12 hours.
