I started my season in Tennessee on April 4, then to Missouri for their opener and back home to Michigan for our May 6 second season opener. In that time span I've had no less than 5 gobblers very close and not one in a position where I could shoot it. Until this morning. With the help of my bloodwood over limba box and a live hen yelping and cutting back and forth, this gobbler finally walked in and presented the shot I've been waiting for for nearly 6 weeks. In those 6 weeks I experienced a lot of bad luck (mostly due to hens) and mistakes, but a lot of really cool stuff you can only get by sitting motionless in the spring woods, including a couple nice bunches of morels. There are still a couple states open and I may not be ready to hang it up yet.
A big thanks to twyatt for selling me back the box which won first place in this year's Mountain State Competition!

Congrats man! That`s a beautiful bird and morel ! " Cool stuff you can only get by sitting motionless in the spring woods ". Preach it ! I think that`s why, in general, I like to still hunt more than trying to race all over the woods. Not being critical by any means of you guys who run and gun. Just different strokes!
Congrats!
Congrats! These past 6 weeks will make this turkey even that more special.
Congrats! Still looking for my first morels of the season but I admit I haven't been looking too hard yet.
Well earned, congrats!

It's a Winchester 1300 20 gauge. It was in pretty rough shape when I bought it. New stock, forend and Duracoat made it look pretty good.
Congrats
