March 15th for the big kids. Opened today for the youth
March 28th but I'm going to take my son out for the youth hunt on the 20th. It will probably be my best chance at calling in a public land bird. I'd love for him to get one.

Here in WI we are on a lottery system, draw first and then there are leftover tags for sale by zone and time period. So I did not draw my choice this year on lottery, Will be hunting (my) tag in 2nd week of May, and bought a leftover for another zone and time. I will be heading to the U.P. of MI during late April. WI (Madison Office) shut us down from hosting our Learn to Hunt again... So then I have 2 Kids (possibly) for Youth Season, I always have a number of friends to hunt with and a "new" to hunting or hunting turkey every so often too. I try to make my season last the 8 weeks I can go or go with someone and do some calling. Our Madison Office also decided to push our season 2 weeks later...now hunting goes till June 1st, just plain crazy to me...
MK M GOBL
Finally got to put my ears on some this weekend. Went to the honey hole Saturday morning, little cool, but otherwise a good morning. Absolutely nothing to be heard. Hit 4 or 5 more spots and nothing. Went back to honey hole yesterday, temps bout 10 degrees warmer and managed to hear 5. They only gobbled for bout 15-20 minutes but at least there's life there lol.
I've been hitting it hard in Georgia and bounced around to several wmas. Had a bird gobbling good Sunday morning but a hunter came from another access and spooked him. No luck since. Get a quick hunt this morning then back to work. I'll be back next Monday

I was going to hunt MO, KY, PA and NY this spring but due to the ongoing Covid crap I'll only be hunting NY and PA. Too many guys hitting the public grounds because they have the time off.
Thus I'll start hunting May 1.
