John 15:18.."If the world hateth you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." What Jesus was saying is that the world cannot love anything that is not of this world.
How many times have you been questioned or persecuted about your love for Christ? How many times have we seen the world try it's best to deny Him and His love?
This deep set root of denial is going to backfire one day.
I love the Lord and His word, therefore I expect the world which cannot see further then the end of it's nose, to mock me, and persecute me, as I am in the image and likeness of God, whom, the world hates.
What is a believer to do? Believe......endure.....trust & wait.

Gotta agree, if we haven't been shunned, persecuted, or been in the valleys in a long time, we might need to look at what were doing, and who were doing it for.
