I am in need of just some extra strikers would like to try a few different ones. I have never purchased strikers directly just use whatever comes with the call. Any good source here that I'll feel better giving my money too rather than big box stores? Just want 3 or 4 of different materials. I only have 2 calls. One is the Crystal Mystress and the other is The gobbler slate.

Jeff Harrison - JLH on here - is one of the greats. Send him a PM and tell him what you're looking for and he'll set you right up.

Agree. Check out his "heavy" strikers. Have one in frogwood and one in cedar. Game changers on my pot calls.
Thanks everyone I have messages out.

JLH all the way, even if he is from Maryland he makes a great striker lol.

Jeff is top notch to deal with too. Great guy....great strikers.......
Yeah he does make the best strikers you can find in my opinion

Black locust is one of the best and you can skip the high costs of the exotic wood. Let not sexy looking wood deceive you.
If you get one from JLH I recommend his heavy Hickory which is a great all around striker but if you want something a little more dense go with his bullfrog or frogwood striker.

JLH is top of the heap and if you've only got a few pots I'd just tell him your surfaces and he'll likely have some suggestions. Also don't count out Derrick Stuckey's strikers over at Obsession Game Calls. He turns some fine sticks. I love my David Halloran (ipe in particular) strikers as well.

I have an order in with Jeff. Got the bullfrog as well as 3 others. Can't wait!

That frogwood will run on anything. Really like that, his hickory, and his tulipwood.

For your next order check out Mad Baron here on OG. He make a mean striker also!
Other great ones other than JLH...Steve Torman and Fowler. David Hallorans are decent.

Don't forget about Bill Lyman and Derrick Stuckey...both make top notch sticks! And are pioneers of the craft!
Clay Townsend. You can thank me later.
All these guys make great strikers but I am a JLH guy

JLH is my Go To as well. His Frogwood will bring out the best in most calls.

Man... That's a nice spread! Do you have a favorite out of that bunch ?
They all will work on any surface but for slate you can't beat the hickory, I really like the bullfrog on metal surfaces and Granadillo on glass/crystal. Now with that being said I will always carry the hickory just because it plays on slate the best. The other ones I will rotate probably carry 4 out each time. The Tulipwood seems to play well on just about everything. But they will all see time in the vest this year.

I have over 180 different woods if there's something specific you're looking for. Samples in photo. Check out my turkey striker pages on my website www.fowleroutdoors.com or latest photos on my facebook outdoor page. https://www.facebook.com/fowleroutdoors/
