I keep hearing ( and experiencing unfortunately) very few gobbles. Heck I have only seen a handful of hens. My nemesis is the eastern turkey though! They know to leave the property I hunt as soon as the season opens! I get them on trail camera all the time and I kid you not. This year I was still getting them on April 22. On April 23 up to today I have not seen one turkey on any of the cameras I usually get them on.

Dumb bird my A$$! On top of that another hunter apparently got permission to hunt the property I am on and set a blind up about 70 yards from mine. Gonna be a long season I fear.

How's the gobbling and activity down in the SE. I'm headed to burr oak state park tomorrow to hunt the last 4 days of the season with my brother. He has never been. Thanks
