Title: 336 Base
Post by: chatterbox on January 19, 2013, 06:19:59 PM
Gentlemen,

I have a 336 base I'm mounting to my 835. Now when I put the 336 base on the 2 holes closest to the saftey, the FFIII has a slight gap in the front. I moved the sight to the 2 distal holes, and the problem went away.
When shouldering the gun, there were no issues. I am happy with the sight where it sits, even though it is further from my eye, it is fine.
My question is, this should still be an ok location, correct? I tourqued the base screws to 30 lbs per square inch, and the sight screws as close to 12 lbs per square inch as possible. Will recoil be a problem where it sits?

Thanks,

Mike
