Well alrighty then.
That time of year is upon us again to begin organizing turkey teams and The Roaring 20's are ready for the game! We enjoyed a great season last year and eagerly look forward to another one. We will be making some changes to the team roster listing, but will certainly retain the basic requirement of hunkering behind our lethal 20 gauge shotguns when Senor Pavo comes stomping in to announce his presence with authority.
Every year we see more and more die-hard turkey hunters making the studied and confident shift to the proven killing machine that is the 20 gauge shotgun. Lighter, easier on the shoulder, more maneuverable, with a wide range of turkey choke constrictions and a broadening array of shell options that all add up to that one moment we all love to see (and one that we see very often): a cloud of feathers drifting down onto a black lump slowly pedaling a missing tricycle.
Good luck to all teams and hunt safely.

Ready to go here Cap'n.
i am a 20 gauge shooter. do yall have any room on the team this year?
ready and on count down... Captain
LET'S ROCK DOC
Let's do some damage this year
Glad to be on the team this year
full strut, glad to have you.
Hey guys I just wanted to say I'm happy to be on the team this season and ready to rock and roll! I have a few different hunts lined up this spring and hope I can make a solid contribution!
Phil
Hey y'all, I currently hunt with a m2 20 ga but I'm hopping on the 870 youth train. Got my gun the other day to start my build but I'm stuck between a Jebs or sumtoy choke. I plan to shoot fed HWT 7 flitecontrol and next year experimenting with TSS. What would be a good choke for both?
Can I still join if I move to the 870 28ga this year? ;D
Hmmm, that's starting to get mighty smal------CERTAINLY YOU CAN JOIN!
We have had other team mates in past years who have carried their understanding of the potency of the smaller gauges to a highly refined surgical point. The 28 gauge still throws the same sized shot at the same velocity as a 3.5" 10 gauge shell.

funny you mention that. you can't imagine the arguments I've gotten in over using a .410 in the waterfowl world. those guys just can't comprehend a pellet @ X speed is the same out of all guns. Payload and shot string are the differences.
Anyway, I've killed my slam with a 20ga. I want to try and do it with a 28ga now.
Gentlemen,
I am proud to announce that the 2017 Roaring 20's team is now filled. I believe that we now have the strongest and most diverse group of skilled turkey hunters that we have ever assembled.
Come on opening day!

Fullchoke thanks for the invite to join the team. This will be my third year using a 20 gauge. I love the light weight and low recoil and that the birds never even flop! I hunt most every day of our MS. season, so I hope I can help the team out. Again thanks for having me on the Roaring 20's!
Thanks for the invite. Looking forward to having a fun season of meeting new people and hunting new places. I'll be hitting a few states this year if all goes as planned.
Just curious where's everyone on the team from. May need some local knowledge help in some other states ;) I'll be glad to help in any of the other states I've hunted also. Seen some amazing places over the last few years
Me: South West MS
Glad to have y'all on the team. Central Arkansas for this guy. Woo pig
Dang Norman, you are loading up with Mississippi boys and early season hunters. I think I am the only one north of the Mason Dixon line so I figure all y'all (that and "yonder" are the only southern words this Yankee knows :TooFunny: ) will stack em up in March and April and take the pressure off. Cool, I get to lay low waiting for a butterball to walk down my gun barrel on Memorial Day. Good luck Yinz (don't look at me weird - that's a real word. Google it) and be safe.
Hi everybody!
I'm also new to the team this year. I hail from north central MN., so xarcher, your not the only one above that Mason Dixon line. I'm way above it. It's going to be great watching how all our seasons turn out. I'll be hunting in several states here in the upper midwest, so hopefully I can help out our team. Spring turkey season is just to darn short to only hunt in one state. Now, come on spring!
TR20's,
We now have our team page up and it is ready to man-cave-decorate the daylights out of it. You got a shoulder mounted peccary you want to hang up? Cool. You got a vintage lighted Hamm's Beer sign with simulated waterfalls? Too cool! You got a genuinely under-inflated Tom Brady football in a plastic case? Got to the head of the line! You got a signed poster of Sarah Palin with a dead Musk Ox? Cop a hike.
See you over there soon.
