Just got this amboyna burl Hornstra in yesterday. The colors in this horn are just beautiful and it sounds great as well. For those that don't know Herb's calls are made using a belt sander. He told me that burl and sap wood calls are extra time consuming because of how long he must sand them down. Nice yelper.
Good choice Eric!
That's a good looking call right there.

Beautiful call. I knew that Herb made them on a belt sander and I find that amazing. Sure are some talented folks out there.
Very nice looking call, the colors stand out nicely. Is it an optical illusion or does it kinda turn a little at one point? Looks good either way.
Good looking wood. This may have been covered before, but is the mouth piece split on the end?

Thanks. Yes it is.

Nice one Eric. As much of a pain as it is to turn burl, sanding them is sometimes an easier option.
I like that Eric, that is a sweet yelper! Congrats.
Thanks for the compliments guys!!! The next one I get I am going to try and get a different style. I have 4 of the same call now just in different woods. I might have to do some trading. Lol
