Title: Flock of ceramics
Post by: Bringintheh2o on July 12, 2023, 09:00:41 PM
Just picked up a couple of new ceramics from Stumpy and Richard Gunn.
Have 5 turkey killers from some quality callmakers.
Top to bottom, left to right.
Stumpy in a Redheart pot, Richard Gunn in a Wormy Persimmon
Paul Durham in a cedar pot
Travis Wyatt in a walnut and Larry Halford in a Blue Mahoe(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230713/8ad400ee6d8f316831b855cfb30906a9.jpg)

But the question is which one is your fav?

You wanna sell the cedar pot at some point I'd be down to buy it.

Stumpy makes a killer ceramic...Between his and Chris Brumfiel those are the best I've gotten my hands on

That's a tough one. All 5 are very strong. It is gonna be tough to pick one on any given day. Buster's and Travis's are the two I have had the longest and turkeys are very responsive to both.

I have a bunch of ceramic pots. Ceramic is one of my favorites and Jim Shelley makes one of the best in a cherry pot ....My suggestion is for you to contact him and get one of his ceramics in a cherry pot .... his ceramic is always in my satchel .... one of the best strikers for ceramic is Clay Townsend persimmon top snakewood strikers  ...

I've seen and heard quite a few ceramic calls in the past few years or so
I think Stumpy and Richard Gunn make the better sounding
Ceramic calls I've heard , you wouldn't be loosing anything
In a investment on these two

I have and have had several ceramics.  I picked up one from Stumpy after hearing may praises here.  While I like every one I have,  Stumpys just has a sound that makes you put it in the vest every morning.

I have one more I want to get which is the Lonnie Sneed Heartbreaker, which is in the works. Definitely am going to look into a Jim Shelley ceramic, thanks Greg. It will be a game day decision every day which ceramic is hunting. All 5 scream turkey.
