Title: Weight loss on a dominant tom during breeding season.
Post by: Jay on June 01, 2011, 06:21:20 PM
I shot a large Tom in Kansas on 5/30 that looked like a mid 20 bird by size, but only weighed 17# 6oz. I know the area is heavy in Hens, so he had probably a lot of business to take care of. How much weight can a dominant bird lose during the mating season?
