Little late but I will be heading out for the winter season. In Allegany County myself. I normally only hunt spring but have decided to do the winter hunt this year to see how I like it. I am hearing a lot of talk in the morning and evening but no gobbling. Seeing some good birds.
I hunted the fall season with a flock located working ridge tops the Thursday before it came in. Saturday opener they were gone. Seemed like I was finding where they had been rather than where they were going the rest of the week. ALOT of acorns. This winter season should make it easier but I'm headed to the shore.. We are loaded down there.
