Can someone tell me what the characteristics of Granadillo in a striker are? Seems to be a good all around wood that is easy to work and similar to cocobolo but without the oil of Rosewood from what I have read. I will include the site I was reading about on this wood below. Appreciate any feedback.

Makes a great striker! Hard and heavy.
It does make a good striker. I like it on glass and crystal calls.
Echo WV. Really good striker on glass
Very good striker. Plays well on every surface and exceptional on glass and ceramic. Turns very nicely as well, it is a harder, denser wood, takes finish well and isn't so hard that you loose the ability to create a good note on the call. I have turned a couple and have a Fowler with an Osage top that is outstanding as well.
I run one alot on glass and crystal.
Thanks for the many responses. I am going to pick one up shortly. I am really interested in having a good selection of strikers, pots, box calls and mouth calls. The stuff not up to par will be going on ebay.
I am partial to glass and crystal although I do run a slate for softer sounds so the Granadillo should fit right in. Looking to try out in Florida and Va this coming spring.
I would recommend you get the Granadillo from Brad Roberts. I've tried others, but his just seems to have it.

I just got mine from Brad about 2 weeks ago. It's better than advertised
Those are some pretty high recommendations. Just looked on his website and did not see any Granadillo listed. I will e-mail him. Again thanks!
