Wishing all my fellow PA bear hunters a great day tomorrow. Good luck and be safe!
Good Luck and be safe. Enjoy your time in the woods.
Kid has some boy scout thing tomorrow and it's rescuing me from the side hills. Supposed to be miserable tomorrow in 2G. Couldn't be happier to be missing out on my least favorite hunt, and that's in pristine conditions.
Good luck this season
Good luck....calling for a couple inches of rain where I'm at.
Our forecast is all day rain and afternoon temps around 45.
Yeah...................... looks like we're gonna take a SOAKING !!!!
Yeah. Weather doesn't look nice. But I work outside rain or shine. I'm sure not going to let it keep me out of the woods. The bears will still be doing what always do!
I work outside too. But my 12 year old daughter doesn't. She was INSISTENT she go bear hunting this year and I was really looking forward to taking her. I think tomorrow's weather is gonna sour her pretty good...............
I hunt a local private corn field and I wasn't able to keep the bears off me this archery season. Every sit they would come and literally "play" with me. I had one about the size of a volkswagon at 5 feet who refused to leave. I was on one side of the tree and he was on the other. No clue what it is but they don't leave me alone.
I got the first 4 hours to hunt tomorrow morning so here's hoping one get's friendly again.
Here's hoping you get to lay an attitude adjustment on one of those b'ars !!!
Good luck to everyone!
Good luck, be safe, and I hope the weather straightens out for everyone. It sounds like a lot of fun other than that...
The weather sucked...................just as promised and as per usual in western PA.
Our gang stood around in the garage til about 9:00 and said a collective "screw THIS" and called it a day. We're die-hard. But we AIN'T retard................
Got a few hours in before the heavier rain started. No luck but still got see an area I only see once a year. Add in the time spent reminiscing with my dad and my son on the 1 1/2 hour drive there and the 2 1/2 hour drive home (took the long way), and it was still a great day. Eating another bear tag doesn't bother me a bit. I've eaten plenty of them. The drive to and from our spot just talking and laughing is more than worth the price of the tag!
Started raining here about 3am. Had a good breakfast and collectively decided to cancel todays hunt at 5am. We will give it a try on Monday. Forecast calling for some snow on Sunday.
