Title: TriStar 20 ga. semi-auto And TSS
Post by: Ol timer on March 18, 2018, 02:16:24 PM
Today I shot the new Federal TSS out of a new TriStar i got for my daughter, i installed a burris 3 red dot had William at Sumtoy make me a 562-5 tube and went to pattern it this morning. The temps where cold at 42 degrees with a 5/10 mile wind at my back.  Federal claims it has 282 pellets in the 3" #7 shell.
here are the results 95% of the pellets are on the paper. 210 and 208 in 10" circles.

I only tested it with 2 shells with a dirty barrel at 30 yards. The Federal HW #7 also had great numbers.
I aimed at his neck and it went exactly there I'm impressed.
Thanks for fixing the top picture

9 is the size to shoot with TSS unless required by law to shoot larger.

Agreed on the #9 shot but in my State # 7 is the smallest we can shoot in Turkey season. However I'm happy with the results i got with the new Federal TSS, I'm not looking for how far the shells will be lethal but just a good even pattern and knowing what the 20 ga. can now do with the new shell since we don't have the old HW shells to buy.
