Title: Rohm Box Calls
Post by: 243kid on May 23, 2021, 09:04:48 AM
I went to a NWTF banquet in PA last night May 22nd. I won a box call (smaller than most standard box calls almost like a pocket box call) and was told it was made by Rohm calls.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the quality and sound of these calls?

The Dale Rohm all walnut half moon that was offered at NWTF banquets many years ago was a killer. I killed many gobblers using this call and was what got me started selling half moon calls. A picture would be helpful for identification.

Dale is a great guy, a great call builder and a living legend.

I have more than a couple calls by Dale and by Rohm Brothers.  They'll ALL hunt !!!!!!!!!!

Fine gentlemen,  Fine callers. They are turkey killers.

I own four Rohm Brothers box calls.  Short boxes in walnut, cedar, cherry poplar and sassafras. The cedar and sassafras are my favorites however they are ALL pure turkey!

I have two, one is all walnut I carry and the other is a cherry / mineral poplar that a family member hunts. There is a well known long box call maker who carries an all walnut Rohm Brothers box.

As said, they are pure turkey.

Some of his pot calls are bigger than normal. I have one that's a gray slate that's at least 4" across. It makes a deep perfect gobbler yelp.

I have a rohm 1 sider.  I like it.  I don't carry it much since I added a SS and a Spring Creek.
