Title: M2 setup begins
Post by: stick bow on February 18, 2011, 08:23:07 PM
I got an IC Black Diamond Strike in .555 and a box of Winchester extended range 3" 1 1/8 of #5 at 1225 fps. I'll try this out sometime this weekend and post results. I saw some 3" hevi shot duck loads in #6 (1225 fps) that were faster then the hevi shot turkey loads (1090 fps) has anyone tried them out. Anybody done any patterning with the Winchester extended range shells.

I tried the Wincester extended #4's as I couldn't get the 5's.  They didn't pattern well for me out of a Remmy 1100.

:happy0064:  Heres the results. Nice warm day in the 70's. I was shooting a printable turkey head and neck on a 8 1/2x11 sheet  of paper at 41 yds (lasered) extended range #5's put 22 in the head and neck and 80 on the paper. I'm pleased biggest factor no teeth shattering recoil.  Regular winchester #5's 13 to head and 51 on paper. I'll be carrying this gun when my daughter won't be hunting.
Also saw five hens together and farther down the road saw four toms on the way home from the range. Now I'm off to fry some fish and fries. Great day.
