Title: What tube does your SBEIII 20g like more details below
Post by: WTNUT on April 12, 2024, 02:17:48 PM
Had a client buy me a new Benelli SBEIII 20g with a 26 inch barrel.   If you have this gun what choke did your gun like with TSS shells?   Thanks.

I tried a IC .562 and .555 also a jebs .565. The IC .555 has far and away the best. Pattern was tight but very even with apex and handloaded #9s.

I have a M2 and while I realize the barrel may be different the bore size is probably the same. I have tried them all and I stuck with a IC 555. I tried a 562 and it's great but still tight at 15 yards. I came to the conclusion that all of the chokes are going to be super tight at 10-15 yards because tss holds its pattern so well so I might as well get the most dense pattern at 40.

I have the SBE3 in 12 gauge. Which I realize isn't what you asked. The pattern master code black works good. I've tried several chokes but what works best, believe it or not, was the factory full. Using apex. And the 3 inch 9's was the ticket.
