Team GOATS 2024 / Re: Eggshell's sporadic hunt l...

Back to Ky today for our final try of spring 2024 in Ky. A very quiet day. Got on one gobbling bird early and set my buddy up ahead of me as he had not filled a Ky tag yet. The bird spent probably 15-20 minutes in range and he could never see a shot. We left northern Ky and headed south only to find more silence, but of course we seen multiple strutters in fields on private farms. We met up for a chat with a certain good looking G.O.A.T.S. team member then headed home. Now to fill my Ohio tag.

Turkey Call Classifieds / Let's so some trumpet trading....
Last post by Bedge7767 - May 04, 2024, 08:02:37 PM
I have 3 Lumma's, 2 Stowe's and 1 AGE. Looking to do some trading. One Lumma has a white mouthpiece as does the AGE. Looking for Buice, Prudhomme, KP, MKW or an adjustable Buckner. We'll work something out. Shoot me a message. Maybe looking for something else that catches my eye.

Quote from: Tom007 on May 04, 2024, 04:32:22 PM#6 Longbeards are fine shells. If you can find the 1-7/8 ounce magnum loads, they are killer...Good luck with it!
The #6 and #5 longbeards in the 1 7/8 oz are mean.

I posted a few years back that all I wanted for Chritmas was a Watkins box, I had a few replies and settled on this one, best box I own!

Here is the other, acquired it on a trade for a vest I didn't need. I didn't need the trumpet either but the vest went to the fellow's son and I would hope someone would do it for mine. Anywho, I became friends with the member and the trumpet is the best sounding, easiest running one I've ever had. It was in my shirt pocket so long during youth season and the first couple days of our season that I wore the finish off and had to refinish it. I started my son's first turkey with it, called in a pair opening day of regular season with it, called in a guy's first long beard with it, and called the same gobbler and his harem of hens in to 65-70 yards 3 times in the same morning with it.
