Title: Peacock Locator Call?
Post by: Texforce on February 13, 2018, 03:11:08 PM
You guys that have used them, what are your thoughts of em? I have a crow, and these Texas Rios that I hunt, NEVER respond to it !! I've even heard the real crows sound off in the middle of the day----and NOTHING !!

I do use a peacock and have some great results from it, I also use it to make pileated woodpecker and coyote locator calls as well. I have myself the Primos version and it works!

I carry one but use it only as a last ditch effort to locate a bird.  No doubt they work but they are so loud and such an uncommon sound in the woods I don't like using it.

Exactly what they said. I would do a woodpecker before coyote. Coyote is last ditch effort before I walk off to another bird. It will spook them if you're too close
