Shot one a few days ago. Having trouble with photobucket but will try again maybe tomorrow if I get a chance. Slight upgrade. The last week here is playing out like most seasons. Action really picks up with hens on eggs or even hatched and no hunters to speak of. Am seeing some real studs getting whacked by some of the locals. I got close to one that might have had 1.5 spurs as best as I could tell thru my binos. Anyhow I was sitting near his roost one evening and right at dark here comes 3 hens single file about 20 to my right. And I can see him coming close behind. Just as the hens pass behind me he takes veers off away from me and never got within 50 yards. Was not calling so its just one of those things that will remain a mystery.
Way to stay with them! That 1.5" dingus needs to be reduced to simple possession, yes?
