Title: Mississippi woods
Post by: SFCSNOW on February 17, 2017, 01:15:14 PM
13 Feb
Mid 60's
Day break-8 am
Partly cloudy and windy
I've been watching at least 8 different birds during late deer season.  I know their roosting areas.  Two different birds gobbled 3-4 times on the roost.  Nothing after.
About 45 mins later I heard a different bird gobble 3x at crows.  The wind was tough enough to keep me from hearing very well.

16 Feb
Conditions close to the same but less wind.  I listened for about 45 mins starting at day break.  Heard at least 3 different birds on roost.  Little more active than the 14th.

I'm worried about how active they are already.  Hope to get on them early!
