Post by: MattM on June 24, 2020, 03:36:55 PM
Do any of you folks own a zink wicked series box call. I see them for sale all over the place, and I was wondering if they were any good.

Being that it's a spin off of a Watkins fiddle box it should be a decent sounding call. But I must admit I've never played one. I  do really like the wood combination, poplar and bloodwood.

I had Mr Marlin hand pick me one tbe first year they were made . He played 8 calls and put 6 in his sack . when I went back by I ran all he kept and couldn't tell a dimes worth of difference in the whole lot . so if that speaks anything , they aught to be pretty dang good if they impress the designer , and did I mention he was an engineer all his life... Mine sits in the case with the 30 or 40 others of his I own ..
Just don't tell them about OUR secret though Richard ...

My son won one at a NWTF banquet. I thought it sounded really good.
