Title: Turkon bleu
Post by: strum on April 10, 2018, 07:54:21 PM
My wife and I ate some Cordon Bleu at a friends house a few weeks ago and it gave me an idea.
Turkon Bleu!!

  How we did it
Cross Grain cut one turk breast into 6 peices
Use a mallet to get them as flat and thin as possible (takes some beating)
season with salt pepper garlic salt
Place chipped up or whole pieces swiss cheese
top with a couple slices honey ham
roll as tight as possible into a log
let rest 10-15 mins (can skip this step but it helps them hold their shape)
roll in flour then egg then panko bread crumbs (we used Italian flavor)
   preheat oven 350 -375
lightly coat baking dish with olive oil
place rolls in the dish and liightly drizzle or spray with olive oil
Cook uncovered for 30-45 mins (check center with meat thermometer 170 degrees)
take out of oven and let rest  for 10 mins
    Serve and enjoy
