I have had quite a few guys asking me if I would consider making a more traditional shape on my trumpets, this is my first one. I tried to incorporate some of the features from my original design, while creating a tapered look. I really enjoyed building this trumpet, and will offer it as an option from now on.

Very nice! I prefer a sleeker look as well.
Looks good.
Nice looking call! Do you have a site?
Both designs are great, but the new design blends in with all the rest of the trumpets. I think your previous design makes your trumpet more identifiable from other maker's trumpets.
The new one gets my vote
Very nice Gregg. I like it.
Sharp looking trumpet, very nice
I like this sleek "classic" look
I like the more tapered transition of the wood going into the ferrel on this style
I like the traditional a lot better.......

Thanks Chad....Yes, my original design was an attempt to create something a bit unique and identifiable. I do understand the interest in a classic look, guess it is good to have options for anyone interested in trying one of my horns.

Thanks....Funny, this seemingly simple shape took me a while to figure out. I stared at it for more than a few minutes, then just dove in, happy with the result. The ferrule transition is tricky, making it look good and keeping the trumpet in 1 piece takes some thought.

I like the new style better than your other ones. I think you hit a home run with this design !!!

Even some of the best trumpet makers offer a few different styles. This style is a classic with your own touch.
Rick
Great looking trumpet.
That looks really good. Nice job.
Greg,
Love your old design but this new one looks better than great.
Mitch

Thanks....I bought a big piece of Kingwood years ago, should get 30 trumpets out of it, looks like they all will be similar looking to this one.....
